Those who registered their 100DayProject will receive an invitation in May to have images of their 2018 Project work included in the Virtual Exhibit on The100DayProject.com site.   • LSAA Member’s Show likely moved to December, from May. Due to 2018 construction in the PWPL/MACC, we are looking at moving the LSAA Member’s Show to December. It was in May, in conjunction with the community Annual Art Awards. The Art Awards has already been moved to December of 2018, and looks like we’ll do likewise.

    Plein Aire means to paint outdoors or in “open air,” and artists may paint at any Marquette outdoor location from Founder’s Landing to Presque Isle Park, along the shore or in town. Paintings must illustrate or be inspired by real-life scenes. Afterwards, paintings from both competitions will be submitted for judging. Guests will be able to vote for the Peoples Choice Award. Painters from several states are already planning on competing for the $2,000 in cash awards!* Registration: Artists may pre-register at https://goo.gl/LQnNQn.
