About the Lake Superior Art Association (LSAA)
Deo Gallery & Displays
The SmallWorks Gallery became part of a community space with the 2018 renovations, but we display art on the MACC Workshop #1 walls, sometimes in the Huron Mtn Gallery on the main floor as well as in our Deo Gallery (newly renamed in honor of Jack & Cindy Deo’s years of leadership of LSAA and service to the art & history community.
The Lake Superior Art Association Gallery has yearly shows that give local,
regional, and national artists, as well as LSAA members, the ability to display their artwork.
The exhibitions are curated with consideration for quality and craftsmanship, what will
engage and be of interest to the community, and suitability of subject matter.
The Deo Gallery offers an opportunity for LSAA to provide a visual-arts gallery space in
Marquette’s Arts & Culture Center (MACC); the goal being to encourage and facilitate an enriched environment of creative community.
Other shows are curated by a MACC’s resident curator and are varied in media and subject matter. All shows are professionally hung. All displays that the art gallery exhibits are suitable for all ages and will not promote discrimination against any person or group.
The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center (MACC) is located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library (PWPL).
